News / Nesting road closes again
SHETLAND Islands Council is closing a stretch of the B9075 road south of the Billister junction, in north Nesting, next week to replace a culvert damaged in the recent peat slides.
The road had already been closed for five days near Dury earlier this month after it was swamped by peat following torrential rain in the early hours of 7 August.
The council’s road network engineer Neil Robertson said on Tuesday that the road would be closed for up to two weeks as of Monday 23 August.
Access to Billister during this time will be from the north junction with the B9071 only.
