News / Man arrested after break-in
A TWENTY year old man was in police custody last night (Tuesday) after being arrested for allegedly having broken into Midway Stores, in Levenwick, between Sunday and Monday.
Police said that money had been stolen from the premises, including five charity collection boxes.
Detective sergeant Lindsay Tulloch said: “The charity collection boxes have not been recovered and anyone with any knowledge or information about these charity boxes is asked to contact the police.”
The same man has also been arrested for the theft of a mobile phone from an address in Lerwick
A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal in Lerwick
