A WOMAN was taken to hospital in Lerwick yesterday (Tuesday) after her hand was impaled on a metal bar while working at the Tesco supermarket in the town.
Two fire crews were called out at 4pm after the female employee was injured when the metal cage she was working with collided with another cage.
Firemen used a hydraulic pedal cutter to free her hand and she was taken to Gilbert Bain Hospital by ambulance.
