News / Car fire at Frakkafield

POLICE and fire engines were in attendance at a vehicle fire on the A970 main road two miles from Lerwick near Frakkafield this lunchtime.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said that no-one had been injured in the incident which was called in at 12.30pm.

The road was briefly closed in both directions, with Shetland Islands Council stating at 2pm that it had re-opened.
