A PANTOMIME improvised on the spot by six Shetland comedians is set to take place later this month.
The Imposters improv group will host the event at the Lerwick Legion on 19 January.
The team, which is led by Marjolein Robertson, said it will be a “pantomime where absolutely anything can and will happen!”
It will be the first time the Imposters will venture into long form improv, where one single word will ultimately lead the performers into a full 45-minute story.
“Ever since the group’s inception I have been very keen to venture into the world of long form, a very different discipline to short form, but one I feel that can be much more rewarding for audience and performer,” Marjolein said.
“There’s nothing like being given one word and then running with that for 45 minutes.”
Fellow improviser Ashlea Tulloch said the night will be “particularly special” for a number of reasons.
“We have been performing together as a group for two years now, getting to know each other’s strengths and senses of humour, so I think that will be evident in our performance.
“We have a few little surprises in store that will hopefully see us set the bar high for 2018, not just for us as an improv troupe for the comedy scene in Shetland.”
The night will also feature the group’s usual short form, Whose Line Is It Anyway-esque sketches influenced by suggestions from the audience.
The doors will open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start and donations will be accepted on the door.
