News / Firefighters extinguish vehicle fire in Sandwick

FIREFIGHTERS from Sandwick were tasked on Tuesday morning to extinguish a vehicle which had caught fire in the south mainland village.

The team attended the Park Wynd incident just before 9am and the fire was put out around half an hour later, with no injuries reported.

The fire service were also notified shortly before 8am of a vehicle which had left the road in Cunningsburgh.
